I am a Procurement Professional with more than 30 years of experience predomantly in the highly technical Aerospace and Defence manufacturing sector in South Africa. I have experience in both Public and Private sector procurement. I have worked for International companies that have subsidiaries in South Africa eg Thales Defence Syatems , Tollink SA and Caliba Consulting. I have occupied the following positions during my unblemished career :

A - Darter - Air to Air missiles development
<p>I was responsible for strategic sourcing of all highly technical commodities that were required for the design and development of the A-Darter missile from local and International suppliers. In addition to sourcing and procurement i was involved with negotiatioins with freight forwarders and courier companies to ensure competative rates were achieved for shipments of imported commodities. I have engaged with major suppliers on an ongoing basis to develop build strong business relatioinships.</p>
